Easthampton’s 1st film festival to debut in late May
EASTHAMPTON — The city’s burgeoning arts scene is about to get a new addition upcoming month when its to start with-ever movie pageant will make its debut.
For its inaugural occasion Might 26-29, the Easthampton Movie Competition will showcase independent films of up-and-coming filmmakers from all in excess of the entire world at a number of venues throughout the town, according to the festival’s founder and organizer, Chris Ferry.
A native of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Ferry moved to Easthampton from New York Town with his household in 2020.

Her shorter film, “All the Marbles,” is about a lady and a marble that conserve the environment from full destruction, and stars Louis Sarrick of Easthampton and Lucia Dingo-Early of Amherst.
“All the Marbles” was impressed by “The Star,” an 1897 apocalyptic quick story by H.G. Wells, and involves animation and a movie collage. It will make its debut at the Maryland Movie Pageant in Baltimore prior to its screening in Easthampton.
“I’m thrilled to be accepted into the fest,” McClung reported. “This film has been a prolonged time coming. I required to be able to exhibit it to a dwell viewers, and it will be excellent to demonstrate my do the job with locals that will identify the areas it was filmed.”
